I mentioned in one of my past entries that I loved the song “Eternal Snow” from an old anime series called Full Moon Wo Sagashite. And because I loved it so much, I wanted to use it in a music video. And once again, I used the Tsubasa anime because the song’s message and general feel fits this show the best.
To make it different from the first Tsubasa music video, I concentrated on using only shots of Sakura and Shaoran for this one making it a tribute to them (should I make a Fai-Kurogane tribute too? Naaaah..hahaha) . I wanted to make it dramatic yet showing that there’s hope for this two (there really is, I believe in it, wahahah). :D This is also one of my music videos that have a time length of over 5 minutes. O_O
I said to myself that when I learn how to make videos, I would certainly use this song. ^^;; I so love “Rewrite”. It was an LSS song for me for such a loooong time.
Among all the FF games, I would probably put FFVIII on top of my list. I think I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve re-played this game, my sister and I could almost memorize the dialogue and the sequence of the story. We might’ve memorized the monsters’ names and the magic they carry too. O_O
So anyway, I’m supposed to talk about the video, hahaha. I experimented a little on this, when I placed a clip of Squall, Rinoa, Seifer and Edea and timed their appearance to the beat of the drums in the intro. I hope it was effective. ^^;; Then for the first stanza, I placed the other main characters – Zell, Quistis, Selphie and Irvine and for the second, I placed Fujin, Raijin, Laguna, Raine and Ellone. The other clips showed action-packed scenes and occasional Squall-Rinoa stuff. Hope you guys like it. ^_^
Back to Final Fantasy again, lol. For the fifth video, I used clips only from Final Fantasy IX - most of them featured Garnet and Zidane though, lol. But you'll still be able to see the other characters there like Vivi, Steiner, Eiko, Kuja and the other FMVed characters. ^_^
I thought the message of Coco Lee's "Wherever You Go" fits the game's story and the upbeat tune gives it an energetic and cheerful feel. Enjoy~
I've gotten preoccupied with Final Fantasy too much (but I feel like I'll be getting back to it soon, lol) so here's a break from all of that. An anime music video. Yipee~
Though my first music video was based from an anime (Victorian Romance Emma), I didn't like it very much. ^^;; Anyway, my fourth video one of my current favorite series, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. I only have a copy of the first season so those are the available clips for now.
The music I used for this video is Phil Collins' "Look Through My Eyes" which is also found in the Disney movie "Brother Bear". I thought the message was really nice and somewhat suitable for the TRC series. Enjoy and comments please! :)
Okay, third video. Not much change with techniques though. This time, I featured the villains from FFVIII - X2 and the two Kingdom Hearts as well. I still liked the Female Characters music video more but this one's okay too. ^^;; My only regret is that I don't have a vcd copy of Advent Children that I could've copied to the computer so that Sephiroth and the three Sephy-guys could have gotten included in the video. Dang. Oh well, maybe in the future, I could make a video for Advent Children only. ^o^
After choosing the theme, I knew that I definitely have to use an Evanescence song for this one. "Haunted" was a good not-so-popular song so I chose that. The lyrics somewhat connects to the the theme too so it's alright. ^_^ Comments please! XD
This is my second and probably my most favorite video that I have made. ^^ I heard of Olivia's song when I recently got started with making videos and I thought that I simply had to make a video of it using that song. My sister and I have a copy of the fmvs of Final Fantasy (VIII to X-2) so I used that to make a video featuring the female FF characters. (But dang, I couldn't include Tifa, Yuffie and Aeris *sob*)
Technically, there's nothing new in the way that I made the video but for some reason, I felt really proud of making this one. ^^;;
The song may also sound familiar to fans of the anime series "Nana" because "Wish" is the second opening of that series.
Er, before anyone watches this, please be warned of spoilers. The clips in the music video are arranged in chronological order so in a way, the video told the whole story from beginning to end. In short, it looked like a mini-Victorian Romance Emma compressed in a 5-minute video. So please be warned, I don't want to ruin the ending to anyone who hasn't watched the series yet (but if you want to be spoiled, go right ahead..hahahah).
Other than that, I hope you guys enjoy my first attempt to making a video. No flashy effects though, and I don't plan to do it in my future videos. I just want to make a sort of scene collage and add in a song that I think is appropriate.
Anyway, I have been toying with the idea of making an Emma video using the instrumental song "This Way" by the Japanese guitar duo Depapepe. It's such a divine song, lol. I tried to imagine how I would pick the scenes but then I ended up using the clips in order that they appeared in the anime. I'm still a video-making beginner so expect to see some transitions that are a little awkward or out of place. ^^;;
